Tulsa Division

In 1989 Hyspan built a new
plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma for
added production capacity, and
to provide a centralized location
for distribution of standard
products. Shortly after
completion of the plant, the
company purchased the wire
braid product line of the
National Standard Company
and relocated the braid

production to Tulsa. This involved constructing an addition to the plant with a special foundation and mezzanine to accommodate the "T-2" braider that is capable of making tubular braid up to 30" in diameter.

In 1993 Hyspan purchased the Barco Ball Joint, Struts and Vibrasnub, and Venturi product lines. The ball joint production that involves precision machining and fabrication of proprietary seals was relocated to Tulsa and combined with the manufacturing of Hyspan Perma-Pax Packed Expansion Joints. Both of these products involve extensive machining, chrome plating and sealing systems.

Tulsa produces tubular, flattened tubular and flat braided wire for metal and non-metallic hose, automotive exhaust connectors and electrical connectors. They have an unequaled capability in terms of production capacity and weave selection to produce braid from 1/8" through 30" diameter including braided braid.

Tulsa has CNC machining capability through 60 " diameter. All machining, welding, seal fabrication and testing is performed at the plant for standard and custom designed Barco Ball Joints and Perma-Pax Packed Expansion joints.

Because of the geographic location, the Tulsa plant serves as a distribution center for other Hyspan products that include the Series 5500 Bellows Pump Connectors, Series 8500 Expansion Compensators and Series 9500 Alignment Guides.

The quality system is ISO 9000 compliant, and all welding is performed to ASME Code Section IX.
