Series 2500 expansion joints have been specifically designed for round and rectangular low-pressure duct and piping applications at high and low temperature conditions. Applications include diesel engine exhaust, gas turbine exhaust, ventilation ducting, boiler exhaust ducting, cryogenic MRI escapement piping, and wastewater treatment plant process air and digester gas systems. The designs are highly flexible. A variety of materials are available for high or low temperatures, or corrosive applications. Specifications vary for each product group but in general Series 2500 round expansion joints are designed for pressures ranging from full vacuum to 15 psig. High-pressure round expansion joints for turbocharged applications are available.

Series 2509-2511 3 Ply Laminated Expansion Joints
Series 2509-2511 Round Laminated Bellows Expansion Joints include 3 plies for maximum flexibility or internal vibration dampening. Service is for extreme axial motions or direct installation on vibrating equipment such as engine exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, and fan connections. Sizes range from 3″ and larger pipe and tube sizes, with standard fixed or floating flanges, and weld end connections. Hyspan has the capability to manufacture expansion joints with diameters up to 20 feet. Options are available with stainless steel wetted surfaces or all stainless steel construction for elevated or cryogenic temperatures and corrosion resistance.
Series 2504-2507 Round Single Ply Joints
Series 2504-2507 Round Single Ply joints are highly flexible. Service is for thermal motions in pipe or duct systems. Standard sizes range from 6″ through 48”. Hyspan has the capability to manufacture expansion joints with diameters up to 20 feet. Standard end connections are fixed flange, floating flange, angle flange, and weld end. Options are available with stainless steel wetted surfaces or all stainless-steel construction for elevated or cryogenic temperatures and corrosion resistance.
Series 25RECT Rectangular Expansion Joints
Series 25RECT Rectangular Expansion Joints are fabricated to customer specified dimensions with standard Hyspan convolution profiles or specialty designs. A variety of corner configurations are available. Materials of construction range from carbon steel to stainless steel and high nickel alloy steels. Metal rectangular expansion joints are leak tight and may last 15 years or more.
Series 2554-2555 Hyseal
Series 2554-2555 Hyseal support pipe penetration through a containment wall or bulkhead. Three catalog motion ratings are available, with two end configurations, and multiple shroud options. Custom Assemblies
Series 2500 engineered bellows are commonly incorporated into assemblies designed specifically for a customer’s application. Unique fittings, vibration, high-flow velocity, high-temperature, cryogenic temperature, and corrosion resistance can all be considered in product design. Hyspan’s total capability to design products and fabricate component parts minimizes development time and provides control over production. Cycle life and vibration testing are available.
